After launching it in the UK and other regions, social media giant Facebook has finally announced Facebook Avatars in India. That will enable users to create and share their custom cartoon-like versions of themselves similar to Apple Memoji stickers.
The Avatars feature on Facebook brings several customization options such as a variety of faces, hairstyles, and outfits that the social network claims have been specially customized for India.
The new Facebook Avatars can be used in comments, stories, profile pictures, and Messenger. Users can even share them on WhatsApp chats.
How to create Facebook Avatars
Before proceeding with the steps, make sure to update your Facebook app with the latest version.
Open the Facebook app on your smartphone
Then tap on the three horizontal bars
Scroll down and tap on the ‘See More’ option
Here you’ll find the ‘Avatar’ option, tap on it
Now, choose skin tone and tap Next
At the next screen, personalize your Avatar by selecting a hairstyle, face shape, complexion, eye shape, color, eyebrow, nose, etc
Once you are ready with the personalization part, tap Done from the top to create the Avatar.
How to share Facebook Avatars
As already mentioned, Facebook Avatars can be shared as Stickers in comments, posts or it can be used in Messenger and WhatsApp Chats.
To share Avatars in Facebook comments, simply tap on the Emoji icon and select from the Avatar Stickers to send.
